Darren has been working towards guaranteeing the welfare of children for 15 years. He worked in children’s services for 14 years where he supported and protected vulnerable children. The job consisted of providing children and their families with extra help and working towards keeping the children safe when they were thought to be at risk of harm.
He holds a level 3 and 4 diploma in Health and Social Care and level 5 diploma in Leadership and Management.
Darren’s current role consists of supporting the house manager in the running of the home and making sure children have the best care provided to them. He enjoys spending time with the young adults, getting to know them and understanding them helps him provide the best support possible.
His passion is to help children reach their full potential, no matter how long it takes. It is always a proud moment for Darren to watch a child progress under the care of 5ab Care, he finds it rewarding.
Darren’s mission is to do everything possible to make sure that when a child leaves the home, they leave equipped with enough knowledge and enough information to succeed in life. It is always rewarding for him to watch children move on into adult life.
Outside of work Darren enjoys spending quality time with his children and he’s also a very sporty person.
One thing he enjoys about the company is how supportive the directors are. He believes they do their utmost to help the staff members to progress and achieve their goals. He also loves the fact that everything they do is catered towards the welfare of the children.
